Kindiki was the most popular candidate in a Politrack Africa poll, receiving a score of 50.2%.
Kindiki was a top contender for the running mate position in the 2022 General Election.

Ndindi Nyoro, a Kiharu Member of Parliament, was ranked as the second-best candidate to replace Gachagua, receiving a score of 19.7%.
Ruto’s third best option was Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who received 10.2 percent.
Kimani Ichung’wah, the majority leader of the National Assembly, received 8.1%, while Speaker Moses Wetangula received 7.1%.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, the only female leader to make the list, was ranked sixth with 4.2%.
Gachagua’s Presidency Probabilities
The poll also sought to determine whether Gachagua would be successful if he ran for president in 2027.
Eighty-two percent of respondents said it was extremely unlikely that he would succeed, while two percent said he would probably win.

On the other hand, the poll revealed that the fallout between Gachagua and Ruto would reduce support for the President’s party in the Mt Kenya region.
53 percent of respondents said the fallout would hurt UDA’s popularity in the vote-rich region.
41% of respondents disagreed, with the remaining 6% saying they were unsure.
The recent feud between the President and his deputy has been blamed on Gachagua’s one-man one-shilling campaign and the push for Mt Kenya unity.
Ruto and his allies have described the push as a tribal agenda, while Gachagua insists that he is only doing what the people want.
