Dr Austin Omondi, commonly known as JaPrado, has illegally been arrested today, Sunday, at 1:10 pm.
JaPrado had mobilized well-wishers for a Blood Drive Donation at the Sikh Union Club, Chandaria along Forest Road in Nairobi.

This comes hours after X Influencer Billy Simani, also known as Crazy Nairobian, was released from police custody following his arrest on Friday.
Faith Odhiambo, President of the Law Society of Kenya, shared a video on Friday evening of herself with Billy after his release.
The release comes after over 50,000 Kenyans signed an X Space petition demanding Billy Simani’s release and blaming politicians for the country’s harsh economic conditions.
Politicians allied with the Kenya Kwanza government have come under fire, with Kenyans naming and shaming legislators who voted in favor of the Finance Bill.

Similarly, a blogger was arrested in 2017 for insulting the president but later appealed the charges citing freedom of expression.
The judge agreed that the petition raised an important question: whether criticizing a public official justifies limiting a constitutional right.
He claimed that criminalizing such a matter violates the right to speak about public officials and diminishes the right to hold an opinion.
