JULIUS MIGOSI OGAMBA: Meet Nominated Education CS Who Was Machogu’s Running Mate
President William Ruto has named Julius Migos Ogamba, former CS Ezekiel Machogu’s running mate in the 2022 Kisii gubernatorial race, as his successor at the Education Ministry, assuming Parliament approves his nomination.
Machogu and Ogamba ran on a UDA party ticket but lost to current Governor Simba Arati.

Ogamba, a lawyer by profession, ran for the Kitutu Chache North parliamentary seat in the 2017 election.
Migos was named the new chairman of the Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) Board of Directors in March 2023.

He succeeded Samson Mwathethe, the former Chief of Defence Forces of Kenya, in the position.
Migos has nearly 30 years of legal practice experience.
He has established a reputation for providing legal advice to a diverse clientele across a variety of industries.
He describes himself as a dedicated, visionary, and accomplished legal professional who has counseled clients, conducted legal research, prepared legal documents, and represented clients in criminal and civil court proceedings.
Ogamba holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Diploma in Law from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London.
He is also a senior partner at Migos Ogamba & Waudo Advocates, a Commissioner of Oaths and Notary Public, and a member of the Kenya Law Society.
