
Cabinet Slots President Ruto Has Yet To Nominate
Following the dismissal of the entire Cabinet, President William Ruto nominated ten Cabinet Secretaries.
The President announced that his new cabinet had been nominated after extensive consultation.
The President stated that further consultations are currently underway and that more names will be announced in due course.
Previously, the President appointed 22 members to his Cabinet.
There are eleven ministries for which the President has yet to nominate cabinet secretaries.

They include the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry, the Ministry of East African Community, the ASALs and Regional Developments, the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, the Ministry of Public Service Performance and Delivery Management, and the Ministry of Gender, Culture the Arts and Heritage.
Others include the Ministries of National Treasury and Planning, Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development, Youth Affairs and Sports, and Labour and Social Protection.
Among those nominated on Friday were Kithure Kindiki for the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, Debra Mulongo Barasa for the Ministry of Health, Aden Duale for the Ministry of Defence, and Davis Chirchir for the Ministry of Roads and Transport.
Others include the Ministries of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry (Soipan Tuya), Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation (Eric Muuga), Education (Julius Migosi), and Agriculture and Livestock Development (Andrew Muhia Karanja).
The President also appointed Alice Wahome to the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, and Margaret Ndungu to the Ministry of Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy.
The President proposed Rebecca Miano as Attorney General.
On Friday, during his State of the Nation address at State House in Nairobi, the President named the new CSs.
This comes after the President was pressured to select competent individuals to assist him in carrying out his agenda.
Ruto was joined in naming the cabinet by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Minister CS Musalia Mudavadi.
