School Bus Involved In A Grisly Road Accident, Several Students Injured Along Kikima-Machakos Highway
On Saturday, several Mbooni Girls High School students were rushed to the hospital after being injured in a road accident on the Kikima-Machakos Highway.
The accident occurred after a bus carrying students to Machakos town reportedly lost control and overturned on the highway.
Following the incident, a rescue team was quickly dispatched to the scene to assist in the evacuation of the students who were trapped inside the wreckage.
As rescue efforts intensified, those injured were rushed to Machakos and Kikima level 5 hospitals for medical treatment.

AfricasNow obtained images that showed the bus completely damaged on one of its sides, with pieces of glass strewn all over the highway.
The exact number of those injured has yet to be determined; however, no deaths were reported as a result of the accident.
The accident caused a massive traffic jam along the steep highway. Meanwhile, residents joined in the effort to assist the injured students.
At the time of publication, police officers had not yet arrived at the scene of the tragedy.
The accident occurred just two months after another high school student was involved in an accident on the same highway.
According to a police report, the accident occurred on May 13 when the matatu carrying the students lost control and rolled several times in Kwa Mbisu, Nthungoni area, Makueni County.
The passengers were rushed to Mbooni Sub County Hospital for treatment. Similarly, no deaths were reported.
The accident occurred as students returned to school after an extended holiday due to flooding in the country.
