Kalonzo previously stated that he would not participate in President William Ruto’s proposed dialogue to alleviate tensions in the country.
He has argued that any participation is a betrayal of Kenyan youth, who have rejected the dialogue through anti-government demonstrations.
Raila convened a meeting on Wednesday to discuss coalition issues.
The meeting was attended by Kalonzo, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, Kenya African National Union (KANU) party chairperson Gideon Moi, Party of National Unity (PNU) chairperson Peter Munya, and Siaya Governor James Orengo.
Azimio’s has been hit by split fears after one of its affiliate parties, ODM, accepted Cabinet positions in President William Ruto’s administration.
Martha Karua’s Narc-Kenya has formally expressed an interest in leaving Azimio.
Ruto has nominated John Mbadi (ODM chair) for National Treasury, Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi (Energy), and deputy party leaders Wycliffe Oparanya and Hassan Joho for the Cooperatives and MSMEs, Mining, and Blue Economy dockets, respectively.
Kalonzo has directed his party’s MPs to reject ODM-nominated CSs during the vetting process.
