Oscar Sudi Reveals Why He Didn’t Retaliate Against Protesters Who Vandalised His Nightclub

Oscar Sudi, a Kapseret Member of Parliament, accused political opponents Thursday of orchestrating the destruction and looting of his nightclub by anti-government protesters.

During an interview on the Obinna Show, the outspoken legislator claimed that rival politicians reportedly paid the young protesters to vandalize his property.

According to Sudi, he became aware of the plans to destroy his nightclub several days before the incident.

“I thank God because what could have happened there could have been so tragic. I didn’t want it to escalate into death because of cheap money,” Sudi explained.

“It was better for me to lose my property than for people to die. We were aware,” he added.

However, the lawmaker stated that he refrained from taking action because he feared losing more lives, as several Kenyans had already died in the anti-government protests.

“I had people that I could have fought back but I did not. I let the police deal with them,” the vocal MP alleged.

“I said we should not injure anybody. I said let them do what they want. Even when my opponents were mobilising the crooks, I knew it,” Sudi stated.

Oscar Sudi went on to dismiss allegations that approximately six people were killed while attempting to break into his Timba XO club.

Sudi added that the recently destroyed nightclub had already been renovated and would reopen within the next week.

The MP’s comments come just a month after a group of young protesters stormed the club and vandalised property.

Anti-government protesters marched through Eldoret Town’s streets before invading the Metropolis’ lawmaker’s club.
