Ruto Set To Kick Off A 4-Day Nyanza 2027 Campaign Tour On Wednesday
On Wednesday, President William Ruto is expected to begin a four-day development tour of the Luo Nyanza Region.
The visit follows the establishment of a working relationship with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
The Head of State will begin his tour in Migori County, where he will visit and launch the Kegonga cluster water project, followed by an inspection of the Lower Kuja irrigation project. He will also launch the Ngere-Mapera road.
On Thursday, President Ruto will visit Homa Bay County to commission the Oyugis water project before inspecting the Homa Bay fish market.
According to the State House program, President Ruto will then inaugurate the Rusinga Ring Road before attending Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi’s Thanksgiving ceremony.

On Friday, Ruto will arrive in Siaya County to commission the Mageta island solar project in Bondo before heading to Alego Usonga to launch the Siaya economic stimulus programme market.
While still in Siaya, the Head of State will inaugurate the Siaya rice mill project and later that day, attend the thanksgiving service of Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi in Ugunja.
President Ruto will wrap up his tour of Odinga’s backyard on Saturday, with several activities planned in Kisumu County, including the commissioning of the Kisumu marine school within the port vicinity.
He will then travel to Kisumu East constituency, where he will visit the Lake Basin Development Authority rice mill in Kibos.
Ruto will then visit the Lumumba affordable housing project before concluding his Nyanza tour with a visit to Nyakach constituency to inaugurate the Nyabondo Trauma Centre.
As part of the preparations for the visit, Interior Principal Secretary Dr Raymond Omollo hosted all Luo Nyanza Members of Parliament on Monday, where they discussed the significance of the visit and its potential to significantly impact the local economy.
