Detectives Recover Police Uniform From Trans Nzoia Shallow Grave Suspects
A team of detectives has recovered various items from two suspects arrested in connection with a robbery incident that resulted in the discovery of a human body in a shallow grave at a home in Trans Nzoia County.
A motorcycle, several mobile phones, and a pair of jungle police uniforms were among the items recovered.
Police confirmed that two suspects are in custody, and only one female body was discovered in the grave.
Detectives from Kiminini Subcounty and a team from Trans Nzoia County went to the scene after receiving information from members of the public.

They were successful in launching an operation in the Mogoiywet area, specifically the Mambonde Sub-location.
Police later arrested two men suspected of being involved in a robbery with violence that occurred at the Maili Saba police post.
While at one of the suspects’ homes, police said they discovered a freshly dug grave disguised as a mud hole for plastering a three-room house in the compound.
The police then proceeded to court to obtain an exhumation order.
They went to the house on Tuesday and exhumed a decomposed body. Jeremiah Ole Kosiom, the county police commander, said.
He stated that the body of a woman wrapped in a blanket was exhumed. She is thought to be the wife of one of the robbery suspects in custody.
Trans Nzoia DCI boss Paul Songok confirmed her identity as Alice Chemutai, a Kitale resident.
A postmortem examination will be performed on the body to ascertain the cause of death. Police said they don’t know why the incident happened.
Detectives investigating the case said they were certain there was only one body at the grave. Investigations are ongoing.
