According to videos circulating on X, irritated residents marched and stormed the County Assembly, demanding to engage the Speaker and have their voices heard.

ββThat is a lie, where has the speaker gone to,ββ one resident could be heard shouting in the middle of the confusion.
Before being forced to flee, MCAs had gotten into a fight in the assembly chambers.
Viral videos show the MCAs fighting before police officers at the assembly intervened to stop them.

According to county reports, the fired workers were sent home informally by ‘word of mouth’ rather than going through fair labor termination procedures.
The County has been the subject of leadership wrangles, with Senator Samson Cherargei and Governor Sang feuding over various issues at the devolved unit.
Cherargei revealed on Tuesday morning, while appearing on Spice FM, that he would consider suing the County Government over the recent unfair dismissal of over 1,500 employees.
Tuesday’s incident is similar to one that occurred on July 9, 2024, when a group of youth stormed the offices, demanding a platform with Governor Sang to discuss stalled development projects.
