U17 WORLD CUP: Kenya’s Junior Starlets Land In Dominican Republic As They Aim For Finals
Kenya’s Junior Starlets have arrived in the Dominican Republic in preparation for the 2024 FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup, which will take place in Santo Domingo from October 16 to November 3.
The Kenyan team has been in Spain for two weeks, winning 4-1 in their final warm-up match against local side Intercity CF on Monday, and they are full of confidence heading into the World Cup.
βIt has been a very fruitful camp and as a team, we have really gained experience ahead of the World Cup. Our target is to reach the semi-final stage and play,β said skipper Elizabeth Ochaka.
The team’s early arrival in the Dominican Republic will allow them to acclimatize before the showpiece begins.
