MORARA KEBASO: INJECT Party Leader Announces Break From Politics, Accuses Supporters

Morara Kebaso announced on Wednesday that he will take a break from politics and activism to re-evaluate his strategy and determine the best way to engage with his supporters.

In a statement, Kebaso acknowledged that some of his supporters did not support him during difficult times, admitting that he needed a solution to better mobilise his supporters, which led to the decision to take a break.

“I am taking a small break to restrategize. I have a problem that needs a solution,” Kebaso announced.

“Most of my supporters cheer me online but when I am in trouble they never show up. I need a new strategy on how to mobilise my loyal supporters to have my back whenever I am under attack,” he stated.

“The attacks have intensified and the police have become smart, they do it on days when there is something big happening so that it goes unnoticed.”

“That’s why I need a break. I am genuinely fighting for Kenya but I need Kenya to fight for me. Therefore, I need to find a way to convince Kenya to fight for me,” he added.

The drastic decision is justified, as Kebaso has faced numerous challenges in recent weeks.

So far, Kebaso has been arrested twice for what his supporters believe are false charges.

The fact that the first cyber harassment charge was dismissed so quickly, with the main plaintiff, David Langat, denying his involvement in the indictment, appears to confirm this.

Kebaso was also attacked by delegates at the Bomas on Friday during the Public Participation exercise regarding DP Gachagua’s impeachment, and he was denied the opportunity to address the crowd.

Following this altercation, he released a video two days ago in which he expressed his concerns that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) had planted a mole in his team, citing suspicious incidents that had occurred to him for weeks.

He cited his accident in Embu a few weeks ago as one of the incidents that raised his suspicions.

After conducting a background check, his team was unable to trace the vehicle’s owner because it was registered to a non-existent company rather than an individual.

In the same video, he explained that he had begun to take his security more seriously because any time he announced his whereabouts, the details would be leaked, resulting in negative consequences.

He suspected the mole was someone not only on his team but also very close to him, as there had been an attempt to poison his food as well.

Kebaso also urged Kenyans to raise concerns about any of his team members’ suspicious behaviour.

He assured them that he would thoroughly vet each member of his team to ensure that no unscrupulous individuals were selling him out to the authorities.

He also urged them to contribute to his private security, which was expensive.

Just a day ago, Kebaso was arrested again for uttering the words ‘Kufa Dereva Kufa Makanga’ at the Bomas of Kenya on the day he was attacked.
