Shock As Female Officer Collapses, Dies At Home

A female police officer died after collapsing at her rented house in the Utawala area of Machakos County, according to police.

Constable Pauline Adenyoh worked at Muungano Police Station in the Utawala area.

Her husband reported the incident on Tuesday, October 8, at 10:00 p.m., after the officer suffered a fatal seizure.

She was rushed to Reale Hospital in Utawala for medical treatment but was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to police.

The body was taken to Chiromo Funeral Home for preservation pending a post-mortem examination.

This is the latest death involving a police officer. Some people commit suicide due to depression, while others die as a result of illness.

As part of efforts to address the trend, police authorities have launched counselling services, and the National Police Service Commission has established and staffed a unit to handle their difficult situation.

Officials claim that police are generally on the receiving end of all community issues.

They are expected to maintain law and order in extremely difficult situations, despite putting their lives in danger.
