Outspoken Moses Kuria Heckled, Chased Away At MCA’s Burial In Murang’a [VIDEO]
Moses Kuria, Senior Economic Advisor to President William Ruto, was heckled on Saturday, November 23, during a burial service in Murang’a.
In addition, he was hurried away as the fallout from former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment continues in Mt Kenya.
Kuria was confronted by an enraged congregation at the funeral of Mark Gicheru, a recently deceased Member of the County Assembly (MCA).
A video posted on X shows mourners reacting angrily to Kuria as he speaks at the late MCA’s funeral in Wangu Kiharu.
Moses Kuria has been told to tell those things to Nyúkwa….then he started shouting like a chang'aa taster at the banks of River Makwa forcing the man of God to intervene before the crowd taught him the meaning of mûthuuri ndúinúke….it is pîrîrìpîpî maiyaiya o'clock😂. pic.twitter.com/U0EhlBnJC6

To calm the mounting tensions, the priest presided over the ceremony and led a worship hymn.
Despite this, outraged congregants could still be heard expressing their outrage.
Kuria was seen in a condition of perplexity as the situation unfolded, and his speech was cut short.
Kuria had to leave the podium to prevent further criticism from the congregation.
In a show of defiance toward the administration, the audience heckled a representative of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki off the platform.
The representative was supposed to read a speech by Kindiki.
The cleric, plainly under pressure to handle the situation, suggested the representative hand over the address to the family of the deceased MCA in order to manage affairs.
After former DP Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment, the political scene in Mt. Kenya has been in limbo for some months.
During that time, Kuria was outspoken against Gachagua, criticizing the former second-in-command.

The government advisor chastised Gachagua for creating a retrogressive narrative to isolate the Mt Kenya region from the rest of the country.
Kuria stressed that, despite its population, the Mt Kenya region cannot prosper without the help of neighboring regions.

Following his impeachment, Gachagua maintained a humble demeanor but lately launched a harsh attack on the government.
On Wednesday, November 20, he resorted to social media to discuss suspected surveillance and intimidation by security personnel in unmarked automobiles.
Gachagua went on to say that the alleged intimidation was comparable to that carried out during the Moi regime.
