Lecturer Arrested For Defilement Of 17-Year-Old Girl In Bomet
A Bomet University lecturer is being held at the Bomet Central police station in Bomet County after allegedly holding a 17-year-old girl hostage for three days and defiling her.
According to police, the suspect lured his victim to his house in Bomet town and defiled her before neighbours busted him and reported the incident to the landlord.
Musa Omar, the Bomet central sub-county police chief, stated that the suspect fled immediately, but detectives were able to track him down and turn him over to the police station.
“We have enough reason to take him to court, we are optimistic that he has a case to answer, the law will take its own course a person of his calibre should be a role model to youths.”

According to a source, the victim was staying with a relative in one of the apartments in Bomet town.
Following the disclosure, dread has gripped the whole of Bomet College University, with a portion of female staff demanding justice for the victim and accusing their colleague of a heinous offense.
Police are closing up their investigation before the suspect can be arraigned in Bomet Court.
