CS Muturi Breaks Silence After Snubbing Ruto’s Cabinet Meeting In Kakamega
On Thursday, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi met with the State Department of Public Service and Human Capital Development PS Amos Gatheca.
Muturi stated that the agency is focused on ongoing initiatives to improve public service delivery and human capital development.
The CS stated on Facebook that they are committed to ensuring that Kenyans enjoy excellent services.
“Receiving my daily briefing today from the PS State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development Amos Gatheca. We focused on ongoing initiatives to enhance public service delivery and strengthen human capital development,” he said.
“Together, we are committed to ensuring that our services effectively meet the needs of all Kenyans.”

Muturi was absent at Wednesday’s swearing-in of Public Service Commissioners at KICC.
According to Muturi, the PSC is an independent commission, and CS is not a member. He stated that his absence did not prevent the commissioners from being sworn in.
Muturi was also conspicuously absent at the first Cabinet meeting of 2025 convened at the State Lodge in Kakamega on Tuesday.
The assembly, presided over by President William Ruto, approved a number of measures, including the consolidation of 42 state businesses into 20 as a cost-cutting measure.

Muturi appeared to break with the government on January 12 when he conducted a press conference at the Serena Hotel.
He called for a national discourse on the suspected kidnapping of Kenyans, accusing the government of involvement.
The former Attorney General stated that he had adopted a different stance from the government, which has constantly denied involvement, because he himself was a victim after his son was kidnapped on June 22, 2024.
His comments aroused public debate, prompting the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to invite him to record a statement about his son to help the ongoing probes.
