‘Raila Is A Movement!’ – Millie Odhiambo Responds To ODM MPs Joining Gachagua Camp
Millie Odhiambo, a Suba North MP, scoffed at the idea of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party joining former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s camp.
In response to a question about joining the former DP’s camp, the legislator described it as the most ludicrous thing she had ever heard.
Millie went on to remark that asking ODM, or former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s side, to join Gachagua is akin to asking the ocean to join the river.
She did, however, mention that the former DP is free to join the Orange Party if he wishes.
“That is the most laughable thing I have ever heard. We join Gachagua or Gachagua join us? Raila Amollo Odinga, the enigma, the movement,” the MP said on K24 TV.
“How can you ask the ocean to join a river? Are you serious? He can join us if he wants to but it can’t be otherwise. Raila is a movement.”

Since his resignation, Gachagua has been meeting with various leaders, including some who have been opponents, to discuss possible future cooperation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He has so far contacted People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua and her Wiper counterpart, Kalonzo Musyoka.
He was also present during the unveiling of the DAP-K party headquarters in Karen. Gachagua continues to hold consultation discussions.

Millie Odhiambo stated that their present priority is on ensuring that Raila wins the African Union Commission chairmanship elections, which will take place this weekend in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Suba North MP stated that a loss is not their primary goal right now, and that if Raila loses the seat, they will consider their future moves.
“Right now we are not interested in whether Raila is winning or not. When we go into things, we go with a focus to win,” Millie stated.
“Should he not win we will deal with that after but right now all our energy and effort is we are sure he is winning.”
