A day after the National Police Service (NPS) requested members of the public to contribute information about the foreigner killed by the Presidential convoy, it was revealed that the victim was a British citizen.
According to the BBC, the deceased was a 79-year-old frequent traveler to Kenya. He was visiting his sister and nephew in Kenya when he died.
Speaking to the magazine, Police Spokesperson Michael Muchiri said that the driver of the car in Ruto’s convoy that struck the man had already been captured and will be charged in court shortly.
Muchiri also revealed that the deceased’s family had been notified of their relative’s death and that a post-mortem examination will most likely be performed on Friday, March 14.
According to reports, the elderly man’s body was relocated from Nairobi City Mortuary and is currently being preserved at Lee Funeral Home.

The latest development comes hours after the police agency urged Kenyans with information that could help with the investigation into the foreigner’s death to contact the local police station.
