MIGORI: Police Arrest Woman For Cutting, Burning Husband Over Second Wife
Migori County police have detained a middle-aged woman accused of burning her husband with boiling water before beating him with a panga in Kadar-Posi hamlet, Uriri.
According to North Kanyamkago area leader Silvance Owiti, Evance Odhiambo was attacked by his wife Emilly Otieno at 9 p.m. on Saturday, resulting in major burn and cut injuries.

Owiti claimed the suspect poured hot water on her husband before using a panga to cut him multiple times on the head and other parts of his body.
He claimed the neighbors rushed the survivor to Migori Level Four Hospital, where he is still being treated while the suspect is in police custody.
“We are yet to establish the motives behind the attack, but preliminary investigations have established that the woman attacked her husband because she heard that he was planning to marry a second wife,” the chief added.
