TERRORISM: Al-Shabaab Militants Raids Police Camp, Kills 6 In Garissa
At least six persons were killed on Sunday when Al-Shabaab terrorists stormed a national police reserve camp in Fafi, Garissa County.
Police claimed four others were seriously injured as a result of the incident, which occurred about 5 a.m. in the Biyamadhow area.
It is suspected that the attackers plundered the camp and fled with an unknown quantity of firearms.
They shot and stabbed several victims. The attackers are also believed to have sustained casualties during the operation on March 23.
There are fears of additional similar attacks in the area after militants were seen assembling and advancing towards Kenya.

The neighborhood lies near the porous Kenya-Somalia border, which is frequently breached by militants.
Locals have complained and reported seeing militants patrolling, probing, and spying on security camps in the area.
Police said multi-agency teams had been dispatched to the area to track down the gangs preparing for future attacks.
National police spokesperson Michael Muchiri said they are taking additional measures to handle the issue, which has persisted despite efforts to contain it.
“More personnel have been deployed to the area to confront the enemy. This is an unfortunate incident,” he said.
The bodies of the deceased were carried to a nearby mortuary, while the injured were sent to a hospital.

More people have been deployed to areas of Mandera where intelligence indicates terrorists are planning an attack on security officers.
The militia’s motivation is vengeance for a family member who was jailed by Kenyan security for terrorism offenses, according to officials.
According to officials, the group wants to kidnap more Kenyans. To thwart such plots, security officials have increased border security.
Mandera has been the focus of attention in recent weeks after a group of rogue Somali security officials shot and killed a police officer over the same issue.
