Migori Man Lynched To Death For Raping, Killing Grade 8 Student
A 25-year-old man was killed by a mob after being linked to the death of a Grade 8 pupil at Magoto Primary School in Suna West, Migori County, who was raped and murdered last week.
The culprit, known only as ‘Daddy’, was lynched on Sunday by townspeople who dragged him away from the police who had apprehended him.
Some residents who talked to the press claimed that members of the public overwhelmed police officers who had gone to numerous locations with the suspect to conduct investigations.

Area MCA Erickson Omondi stated the deceased acknowledged to killing the schoolgirl before being lynched by the mob.
Omondi urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the murder of the schoolgirl and pursue legal action against any other suspects who may still be alive.
Meanwhile, people ask the government to set up a police station in the area to deal with the increasing occurrences of insecurity.
They believe numerous people have been killed in the region under mysterious circumstances.
The heinous crime occurred shortly after police detained three suspects in connection with the horrible murder of a 17-year-old girl, Gaala Aden Abdi, in Wajir for refusing to marry a 55-year-old man.

On Saturday, the National Police Service stated that the three had been arrested, including the man believed to be her husband.

Gaala, a refugee, was carried by night from the Dagahley refugee camp, 150 kilometers away, to Wara, Ademasajida in Habaswein—a secluded village—to see her husband for the first time.
Her rejection, despite duress from the man’s relatives, resulted in her death.
Gaala was slain and burned beyond recognition in Wajir County after refusing a forced marriage.
