Grissly Accident Kills 2 People, Leaves 3 Injured Along Kisii-Sotik Highway
On the evening of Monday, April 7, a deadly traffic collision between a trailer and a Subaru killed two persons and injured three others near Bobaracho on the Kisii-Sotik route.
The Subaru lost control and drove into the path of the trailer, which was traveling from Kisii to Keroka, resulting in a head-on collision.
The crash was confirmed by Kisii County Police Commander Ronald Kirui: “The driver of the Subaru failed to keep to his lane and collided head-on with the oncoming trailer.”
“Those who died were in the Subaru and they succumbed to injuries at Ram Hospital and Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, where they had been rushed for treatment,” he added.
Two killed while three others sustain injuries in a road accident at Bobaracho along the Kisii-Sotik highway. Kisii County Police Commander Ronald Kirui says the 7 PM accident involved a trailer and a Subaru Forester.

The Subaru had three occupants, one of whom is presently recovering from injuries. Meanwhile, the trailer driver is receiving treatment.
The tragedy on the deadly highway follows a terrible crash on Saturday, April 5.
In a collision involving three automobiles, at least 13 persons died and 11 others were seriously injured.

On Saturday afternoon, a personal car, a 14-seater matatu, and a truck collided, killing multiple passengers on the scene.
Following the collision, a team of rescuers from the Kenya Red Cross Society and local traffic police officials arrived on the scene and helped remove the victims from the wreckage.
Videos and photographs published online showed the matatu substantially damaged, with a smashed windscreen, broken seats and windows, and deflated tyres, demonstrating the severity of the crash.
Meanwhile, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) on Thursday, April 3, called on all players within the road transport sector to put measures in place to ensure safety on roads.
