OUTRAGEOUS! Former CS Muturi’s Easter Post Stirs Media Frenzy

When former Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi posted an Easter message poster on his X account on Friday, April 18, he did not anticipate it to spark controversy.

However, Kenyan netizens, known for their keen observation, took issue with the graphic, which depicted Muturi in the clouds with a cross next to him.

Muturi appears to emerge from the clouds on the poster, with his words, albeit in small text, below his image.

The majority of people who responded to the post believed that the graphic transmitted the wrong message rather than the intended Easter message.

The astonished netizens expressed their displeasure with the post, which they felt resembled an obituary, demanding Muturi to re-evaluate the staff responsible for drafting it.

In a clearly humorous response to his tweet, most netizens sent condolence comments, while some expressed dissatisfaction.

“Had to read again and again, thought this was some obituary, bad news or a fake account,” one X user commented.

“The communications manager and the graphics designer need to be out of the payroll like yesterday,” another opined.

Another user, maybe giving Muturi some leeway, offered suggestions for what could be done better.

The user advised utilizing warmer, brighter colors like pale yellow or gold, pointing out that clouds might communicate a message of melancholy.

Instead, the user suggested utilizing flowers and enticing headlines like “Happy Easter” in warm, joyful colors.

Others criticized Muturi for using the Coat of Arms despite the fact that he is not a government official.

President William Ruto removed Muturi from his position as Public Service CS.

He was succeeded by former Mbeere North Member of Parliament Geoffrey Ruku, who was sworn in on Thursday, April 17.

Muturi has gone on a rampage since his departure, revealing government inefficiencies and attacking Ruto as President.

Muturi claimed that Ruto tried to compel him into signing a questionable Ksh129 billion agreement with Russian investors while he was at the airport.
