Kalonzo Musyoka Slams MP Over Attack On Female MCA
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has condemned the recent brutal attack on Jacinta Mwoni, a nominated member of the County Assembly.
Musyoka accused a member of Parliament of arranging the assault with politically motivated goons.
On Saturday, mourners in Kitui East were tense after a funeral ceremony turned violent when a group of furious youths attacked the Wiper-nominated MCA.
The MCA had publicly supported Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for the 2027 president.
In a viral video that went viral, four physically built men invaded the MCA just as she was finishing her tribute.

The scenario quickly escalates as the men aggressively take the microphone from her hands, shoving her and sending shockwaves through the crowd.
In a formal statement signed by the Wiper Party SG on behalf of the party head, Kalonzo condemned the attacks as high-level gender violence and thuggery.
“The violent assault on Hon. Jacinta Mwoni, carried out by goons linked to an MP, is not just a criminal act; it is a disgusting display of brute misogyny and political thuggery,” the party wrote.

The party called the attack part of a long series of targeted assaults against women in positions of leadership, discrediting their right to free expression and legitimate leadership positions based on their beliefs.
”It is one more case in a long list of attacks on women in leadership. A warning to women: Speak out and we will hurt you. We see it,” the party continued.
“And we are calling it out for what it is, gender-based violence in politics, carried out by cowards who fear women with opinions.”
The attacks occurred in front of the famous leader, with Wiper leadership blaming him for neglecting to take action despite the sad situation.

The assault was carried out by individuals alleged to be linked to his camp, raising concerns about accountability and political violence.
The Kalonzo-led party has called for immediate legal action against the perpetrators, demanding that the MP be held accountable for his alleged role in the incident.
“This is not leadership, it is thuggery in a suit,” the statement declared.
On her part, Mwoni has also called for immediate action against the perpetrators and condemned the attack, saying it is politically orchestrated against women in leadership.
