THREE Ruto CSs Make New Ministerial Appointments
Ali Hassan Joho, the Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, has announced Ibrahim Malow Noor’s appointment to the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute.
Noor, who will serve in the job for the next three years, is familiar to Kenyans, having previously worked as a Garissa County Officer and was embroiled in a Ksh233 million graft case in 2021.
In the same breath, Joho’s counterpart at the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, Opiyo Wandayi, appointed Carren Akinyi Olweny and Abdisalan Adow Abdi to the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency.
The appointees will serve for the next three years, beginning July 11.
In the Ministry of Health, CS Aden Duale named Pauline Nyokabi to the Digital Health Agency for a three-year tenure.

Nyokabi assumed the office after Linda Murugi Gebson’s appointment was revoked.
Dr. Francis Owino, who was appointed as Commissioner of the Public Service Commission in December 2024, has also been appointed to the Kenya School of Government Council.
Human Capital Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku appointed him alongside Leonida Chelagat Mitei for a three-year term.
Hamza Alio Abdi was also named by Trade CS Lee Kinyajui to the Export Processing Zones Authority Board for the next three years, starting July 13.

CSs Davis Chirchir, Geoffrey Ruku, and Alfred Mutua made the reappointments.
Water, Sanitation and Irrigation CS Eric Muuga reappointed Regina Ndambuki as Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Tanathi Water Works Development Agency, as well as Geoffrey Rukuja as a member of the Tana Water Works Development Agency’s Board.
Muuga also reappointed Nasri Sahal Ibrahim to the Northern Water Works Development Agency’s Board of Directors as Non-Executive Chairperson.
To enable current improvements at the Kenya Museum, Gender CS Hanna Wendot has selected Edwin Abonyo to Chair the National Museums of Kenya Board for the next three years.
