NAROK: Businessman Shoots Reveler Dead Over Parking Spot
A businessman shot and killed a reveller during an incident in the parking lot of a bar in Narok Town.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday morning, July 12, in the parking lot.
According to authorities, the gunman, who is a legal firearms owner, had a disagreement with the dead person over a parking spot.
This came after one of them accused the other of obstructing him.
The businessman drew his Glock pistol and fired, killing the other motorist, Mandela Nabala, 35.
He shot him in the chin, fatally injuring him, according to police. He was taken to Narok County Referral Hospital and proclaimed dead upon arrival.
Police were called to the scene and confiscated the firearm, which was loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition. One cartridge was recovered.
He was later held at the local police station for an investigation into the shooting. His car was also held at the station.
The body was taken to the mortuary for an inquiry and autopsy.
Police reported an increase in the misuse of guns by both licensed civilians and members of the disciplined services.
Civilian licensed firearm owners must go through a rigorous process to obtain permits to own the firearms.

There are around 15,000 licensed firearm holders in the country.
The dead suffered burns all over his body as well as damage to his head, hands, and legs.
Police believe the offender doused the body with petrol before setting it on fire.
The man fled the scene, and authorities are still searching for him, according to reports.
The body was transferred to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
