The incident took place on June 25th, during the tumultuous countrywide protests.
The guards came en masse to the site where Fred Wamale was shot.
Wamale was shot at around 4:30 p.m. on June 25 while standing at the entrance to the company’s building.

In a statement issued on June 25, Wamale’s host company expressed condolences to his family and coworkers, confirming that he was shot at the entrance to their office building.
“We are deeply saddened to report that Mr Fred Wamale, a security guard stationed at our headquarters, was fatally shot at the entrance of the building at 4:30 pm this evening during the ongoing protest,” they said.
