MP Loses Phone During An Empowerment Forum
An empowerment ceremony in Saboti was temporarily halted after Kabuchai Member of Parliament Majimbo Kalasinga allegedly misplaced his mobile phone.
The event, a women’s empowerment seminar, was organized by Saboti MP Caleb Amisi and attracted a large attendance, including various regional leaders.
The lawmaker’s missing gadget was revealed by his counterpart, Amisi, who issued a public appeal to anyone who may have picked up the phone to return it.
“Hon. Majimbo Kalasinga has lost his phone right here. Please, if you have it, return it to him,” Amisi said.
“He has come to offer a contribution for the youth, but unfortunately, his phone has gone missing. Let’s show respect to the guests, okay?”

Prior to the incident, Kasinga addressed the audience before requesting to depart early to attend another event in his Kabuchai Constituency.
Guests at the occasion were Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, Kitutu Chache MP Oliver Gesairo, and Bumula MP Jack Wamboka.
Edwin Sifuna, Secretary General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), was the event’s primary guest.

The meeting comes at a time when a number of young leaders are advocating for a youth-led change in the Western and Nyanza regions.
At the time of publication, it was unknown whether Kalasinga had retrieved his phone.
During the conference, Sifuna sparked slight controversy by implying that if ODM decided to back the Kenya Kwanza government in the 2027 elections, he would face a difficult decision to leave.

The outspoken Nairobi Senator maintained his commitment to ODM’s beliefs and refused to participate in any arrangement that benefited the ruling party.
He also slammed his critics who have questioned his commitment to ODM, notably his infrequent public utterances that appear to contradict party messaging.
Sifuna stressed that he would continue to read remarks produced by ODM organs, but there was one type he would never support.
“I will read all the updates and releases by the party, except one. The day they say ODM has agreed to join hands and support UDA in the 2027 elections, that I will not read,” Sifuna declared.
