Ruto’s PS Loses father – Mudavadi Announces
The family of Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’Oei is in grief after the death of his father, Mzee John Kibiego Ole Sing’Oei.
Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary, acknowledged the elder Sing’Oei’s death publicly on Thursday evening in a condolence statement posted on his official X account.
“I stand with Principal Secretary Dr Korir Sing’Oei, his family, and their loved ones as they mourn the passing of his father, Mzee John Kibiego Ole Sing’Oei, who departed after a short illness,” Mudavadi said.
Mudavadi described the loss of a father as profound, stating that words frequently fail to portray the gravity of such a situation.

“A father’s presence shapes our direction, anchors our confidence, and gives meaning to the everyday journey of life,” he observed.
He went on to say that Mzee Sing’Oei was more than simply a parent; he was a source of wisdom, calm strength, and unwavering integrity, and his influence reached far beyond his immediate family.
“His humility and kindness touched countless lives, leaving a mark that will not fade with time,” Mudavadi said.
He said that Mzee Sing’Oei’s advice, kindness, and gentle personality would live on via the people he mentored and the ideals he upheld.
“As we remember him, we hold onto the comforting truth that his influence and the lessons he imparted will continue to shine through future generations,” Mudavadi said.
“On behalf of the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary & Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs and our entire team, we celebrate the life of Mzee Sing’Oei and recognize the profound legacy he leaves behind,” the statement added.
“May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find solace in knowing that his faith, resilience, and service will continue to inspire generations.”
The family has not yet announced funeral or burial plans, although they are anticipated to do so in the coming days.
