Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and Wiper Patriotic Front Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka hosted an interactive session with Future Africa Leaders Award recipients and alumni at Omnia Towers in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to a statement released on X by the Office of Kenya’s 4th President on Friday, January 2, the two leaders encouraged young Africans to embrace purpose, resilience, and faith in their leadership journeys.
The discussion focused on overcoming self-doubt, recognizing one’s God-given purpose, and realizing that major change frequently begins with tiny, regular activities.
Uhuru Kenyatta and Kalonzo Musyoka emphasized that everyone has the ability to make a difference, regardless of background or circumstance.

Speaking on the margins of the FALA 2025 on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the former Head of State lauded Africa’s youth as the continent’s most valuable resource.
He exhorted them to lead with courage, integrity, and vision, claiming that Africa’s change will be driven by its people rather than external solutions.
“We have been told of the great wealth beneath Africa’s soil, but our greatest resource is within the minds and hearts of our young people,” he said.
“You are not leaders of tomorrow; you are leaders of today who are shaping tomorrow.”

Uhuru Kenyatta praised the award recipients for their service and ingenuity, pointing out that their efforts demonstrate the continent’s expanding leadership potential.

The Wiper party commented on the Awards, stating that Kalonzo Musyoka’s invitation honors his remarkable leadership record and recent international accolades.
He was recently honored with the London Political Summit and Awards’ (LPSA) 10th Anniversary Africa Political Leader and Personality of the Year Award.
”The invitation recognises Party Leader Musyoka’s distinguished leadership and recent accolades, including being honoured as the London Political Summit and Awards (LPSA) 10th Anniversary Africa Political Leader and Personality of the Year Award recipient,” the statement released on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, said in part.
