Babu Owino Breaks Silence After Gun Threat By Robert Alai
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has finally spoken out about his harrowing encounter with Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai at a renowned eatery on Lenana Road in Kilimani, Nairobi.
Babu stated that the incident was a direct threat to his life.
In a statement to the public on Sunday, January 4, Babu stated that the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while he was attending a meeting with a prominent clergyman.
However, the congressman was without his security detail, whom he claimed he had discharged for the Christmas holidays.
The MP stated that after about twenty minutes of discussions, he spotted a group of people seated at an adjacent table, including Robert Alai.
According to Babu, Alai accused him of coordinating social media attacks on his wife, which he strongly disputed.

The legislator stated that this occurred in full view of other restaurant goers.
Moments later, the MP stated that Alai splashed a glass of water on his face, causing a crowd to gather.

He referenced earlier assaults at a Siaya burial, blaming them on coordinated political attacks orchestrated against him.
