Ruto To Sponsor Arsenal, Man United Fans’ UK Trip Amid High State House Expenditure
President William Ruto has offered to pay for an Arsenal and Manchester United fan’s trip to the United Kingdom to watch their clubs play live.
During a discussion with Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor, the President disclosed that he will fund Manchester United Superfan Masagara’s visit to Old Trafford in the near future.
Jalan’go started the talk by commenting on the state of the Talanta Stadium, which is nearing completion ahead of the forthcoming AFCON 2027.
Ruto answered by guaranteeing that the Ngong Road stadium would be a game-changer.
The debate is swiftly shifting to comparisons of Talanta Stadium to Old Trafford and the Emirates.

During the engagement, the Lang’ata MP challenged Ruto to support Manchester United superfan Masagara’s journey to Old Trafford to witness his beloved team.
However, Ruto, a die-hard Arsenal fan, was initially hesitant before agreeing to Jalang’o’s request, on the condition that he sponsor another Arsenal fan.
Eventually, the Head of State decided to fund Masagara and prominent Arsenal content maker Usefulidioty for a trip to the UK to witness their favorite teams play.

“If you accept that I buy Usefulidioty a ticket since he is an Arsenal fan, I will also sponsor Masagara,” the President said.
“I will buy business class tickets and they will also get accommodation. Once they get experience, they will know what goes down at Talanta.”
This was the second time in a matter of weeks that the President joined in the viral challenges involving popular content creators in what appears to be a concerted effort to appeal to youth online.
Last week, the President weighed in on the hype surrounding online sensations ‘Majembe’ and ‘Mbavu Destroyer’ – two TikTok stars who are set to battle each other in an amateur bout in April.
