Popular Gospel Artist Hospitalised Following An Attack By Thugs
Jimmy Gait, a popular gospel artist, is receiving treatment after being viciously beaten by alleged attackers in Runda, Nairobi.
The incident is reported to have occurred on Sunday morning.
The musician stated that the incident occurred at 10 a.m. on February 2, 2026, as he was going about his business in the posh mansion.
He was allegedly approached by unidentified intruders who robbed him of cash and his cell phone before assaulting him.
In a video filmed at a health institution while waiting to be seen, the visibly disturbed artist narrated the event.

“I was attacked by thugs, and they have hurt me so much. I am full of blood all over. They have cut my finger. My hands are cut,” he said.
“It is by God’s grace I have survived. Please pray for me. Thank God I am alive. I just saw death with my own eyes.”

Police said that they are investigating the attack and seeking clues to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, another gospel artist, Samuel Muraya, well known as DJ Mo, cautioned the audience to be cautious of any misleading or predatory messages sent from Gait’s stolen phone.
DJ Mo warned fans and associates not to respond to questionable demands for money or information, pointing out that the thieves took the artist’s device during the heist.
The event has raised worry among fans and spurred requests for increased security, including in Nairobi’s wealthier areas.
