KUCCPS: How To Check KMTC September 2025 Intake Results

KMTC Responds After Portal Locks Out Some Applicants, Releases Admission Letters

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has released admission letters for both pre-service and in-service applicants who were unable to download them after the institution released them on March 9 for the March 2026 intake.

This was due to heavy traffic on the official admissions portal triggering a rush of candidates attempting to log in to the system simultaneously.

According to KMTC, the sudden surge of users overwhelmed parts of the admissions portal, temporarily locking out some applicants and preventing them from downloading their letters even as others successfully accessed their documents online.

“The admission letters for both Pre-Service and In-Service applicants were officially released yesterday, March 9, 2026,” stated the KMTC.

However, due to high portal traffic, some applicants may currently experience difficulties accessing or downloading their letters.”

KMTC asked affected applicants to remain patient and try accessing the portal later once traffic reduces.

They noted that the system was experiencing unusually high demand from thousands of candidates across the country.

At the same time, the college warned applicants to stay alert, as fraudsters may exploit the situation by claiming they can help people access or secure admission letters for a fee.

“Applicants are strongly cautioned to beware of fraudsters who may take advantage of this situation by claiming they can help you access or secure admission letters for a fee,” stressed KMTC.

The institution clarified that all admission letters are issued strictly through the official KMTC admissions portal and that applicants are not required to pay any money to access the documents.

The warning comes barely a day after KMTC cautioned the public about fake admission letters circulating on social media and messaging platforms targeting prospective students on March 9.

The institution said scammers were spreading misleading information and using fake contacts to trick applicants into paying money in exchange for fraudulent admission documents.

In a statement on Monday, March 9, the KMTC said it does not issue admission letters through WhatsApp or Gmail and warned that fraudsters are circulating such claims to solicit money from unsuspecting Kenyans.

The college clarified that it has not yet closed applications for the intake.

The official application deadline for this intake is Friday, March 13.

Applicants should visit the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) student portal to apply.

The college urges applicants to rely only on official communication channels, including verified social media accounts, when seeking updates or assistance regarding admission letters to avoid falling prey to scammers.

The KMTC March 2026 intake is expected to fill 21,774 vacancies available across 36 diploma and certificate programmes on 98 campuses all over the country.
