ACCIDENT: 4 Killed, 56 Injured In A Collision Between Climax Bus And Truck
A night-time car accident in the Ogona area on the Londiani-Muhoroni road killed four persons and injured 56 others.
The accident occurred on Monday, February 24, about 9:30 p.m., when a Climax Sacco passenger bus traveling to Nairobi collided with a truck driving towards Muhoroni.
According to police sources, the bus lost control and drove off the road, ultimately crashing into a sugarcane plantation.

“The bus veered off the road on the left side as one faces the Londiani direction, into a sugarcane farm,” the police report revealed.
Witnesses described the disaster scene as tragic, with injured passengers stuck inside the bus and others in the neighboring sugarcane plantation pleading for assistance.
First responders, including police officers and local citizens, raced to help, ensuring that the injured were transported to a hospital for treatment.
Three women and one male died on the spot. Their bodies were transported to the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital Mortuary for identification and autopsy.
Climax Sacco verified the accident, stating that injured passengers were transported to the Koru Mission Hospital, the St. Vincent de Paul Mission Hospital Muhoroni, and the Muhoroni Subcounty Hospital.

Four of the 56 critically injured people were taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu for specialized medical care.
