Elfyn Evans, 36, and his co-driver Scott Martin won the 2025 World Rally Championship, Safari Rally Edition.

The Toyota Gazoo squad won the title by increasing their advantage to 36 points after three rounds.

Following the triumph, Evans stated that it was a tremendous result for the squad because that is what they had worked for.

“What an amazing weekend… incredible support throughout and amazing to see the finish line here thank you, everyone,” he said.

“It means a lot as a Toyota driver to continue that run of wins here at Safari. It is very important for the team, they work really hard for this and they deserve it.”

For the first time, Elfyn Evans won consecutive races, finishing more than a minute ahead of Hyundai driver Ott Tanak from Estonia.

Tanak led the race until fracturing his driveshaft on Friday. Last year’s champion, Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville, finished third.

Finish driver Sami Pajari was fourth, and Japanese Takamoto Katsuta finished fifth. They both drove Toyota.

Gregoire Munster of Luxembourg was sixth while Irish McErlean finished Seventh. Both had Ford cars.

President William Ruto officiated during the 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally’s finishing ceremony.

The four-day event, which began on Thursday in Nairobi, will finish with an awards ceremony at Hell’s Gate in Naivasha.

The completion of the arduous 21-stage event marks another successful edition of the world-renowned motorsport extravaganza.
