‘Falsehood Is Cheap!’ – DP Kindiki Responds To Reports Of Rebuking CS Ruku
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki denied lecturing Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku during a public rally on Saturday, May 10.
In a statement issued on Monday, May 12, the DP stated that he was not lecturing Ruku, but rather a former cabinet secretary from Ruku’s hometown.
There were also other former presidents who whined rather than providing solutions to the public while in office.
Kindiki, who appeared to be alluding to former Public Service CS Justin Muturi, claimed that Ruku had been a ‘friend for years’ and described the ‘lecturing’ claims as ‘desperate, mischievous, and absolutely adverse twists’.
Seen a desperate, mischevious and utterly malicious twist insinuating that I lectured and disrepected my neighbour CS Geoffrey Ruku, my friend for years.

FALSEHOOD is cheap.
My remark being discussed referred to a former Cabinet Secretary from the same area and other ex-leaders…
“Seen a desperate, mischievous and utterly malicious twist insinuating that I lectured and disrespected my neighbour, CS Geoffrey Ruku, my friend for years. Falsehood is cheap,” he stated.
Kindiki believes that cabinet secretaries and other government leaders should prioritize giving and influencing solutions for the public.
The DP insists that they should not criticize or undermine the administration that they are a member of.
“If you are in government, you are bound by government policy, decisions, and actions,” he stated.
“If you are in government and you want it to do something for the people, you use your position in the same way to influence the desired action.”
“If you are in government and you want it to do something for the people, you use your position in the same to influence the desired action,” he stated.
“Pretending to be “clever” by undermining a government that you are a senior part of is unlawful and anti-people. It is for the opposition to oppose, criticise.”
In his statement on Saturday, during a meeting with nearly 5000 elders in Embu County, Ruku asked the DP, who was also present, to expedite the county’s infrastructure development.

However, after taking the platform, the deputy president, who appeared to be responding to Ruku’s request, said that a Cabinet secretary making public requests to the government for development projects constitutes ‘public incitement’.
Kindiki said that members of the cabinet should use the proper protocols to influence and channel development projects in a particular region rather than making them on public forums.
“You are now part of the Cabinet. You should not be inciting the public with complaints. Instead, you should be providing solutions within the Cabinet, which is the top decision-making organ of government.”
“The President entrusted you with that flag. Respect it. It’s not just a piece of cloth forums,” he added.
