Kenya Deports Chinese National In The Viral Attack Video
A Chinese national who was caught on video abusing a Kenyan staff member was deported from Nairobi on Wednesday.
Officials stated that the Chinese were ordered to leave the country as part of efforts to guarantee that foreigners follow Kenyan rules.
Shi Zhending boarded China Southern Airlines aircraft 6044 for Changsha.
The Chinese Embassy in Nairobi announced the removal of the individual seen in a viral video hitting a Kenyan staff member.
It called the situation isolated. The two were employed at a private enterprise in Eldoret when the violent incident occurred.
The reason for the attack by the Chinese national was not immediately revealed.
The confrontation was captured on camera when the Chinese national grabbed an iron sheet from a pile on the floor and assaulted the hapless worker, who raised his hands in a request for compassion without retaliation.
Kenyans responded online, calling the incident a clear example of a poisonous employee-employer relationship.
In an undated video that went viral on social media and sparked widespread outrage, the guy is seen striking the Kenyan worker with roofing materials inside what appears to be a warehouse.

The Chinese embassy in Kenya denounced the conduct and encouraged all its citizens to follow Kenyan rules.
“We are extremely disappointed to see such an incident occur. As we are informed, the company’s management has immediately terminated the Chinese worker’s contract and will consider further disciplinary action,” said the Chinese embassy in Kenya.
“We believe this isolated incident should not affect investment cooperation between Chinese and Kenyan companies, but it is a reminder to all Chinese citizens in Kenya to uphold the principle of mutual respect with Kenyan friends and behave in accordance with the laws, regulations, and cultural customs of Kenya.”
The Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) condemned the conduct and called for the expulsion of the Chinese national.
