Former Tahidi, Pepeta Actor Has Died
Bilal Wanjau, a renowned actor, has passed away.
A friend close to the actor confirmed his death saying he died as a result of an ailment he had been battling for months. He died away on Thursday, December 4.
Sandra Dacha, Wanjau’s industry buddy, also confirmed his death in a poignant statement on social media, honoring him as a skilled actor.
“It is with profound sorrow that I announce the untimely passing of my colleague Bilal Wanjau this early morning due to complications,” Dacha shared in a statement.

While the details of his death have not been released, there are indications that the deceased had diabetes issues in the months preceding his death.
Many people remember the humorous and often simply hilarious actor from their childhood because of his appearances on Citizen TV’s popular show Tahidi High.
Bilal moved on to more recurrent parts as Tahidi High gave way to newer and fresher talent, appearing in shows such as Lies that Bind, Pepeta, and the popular comedy Jela 5 Star.

The award-winning actor and director was well noted for his roles in films and stage productions.
Aside from local performances, Bilal’s talents won him a spot on the international stage, as he appeared in an 18-rated adult drama called 4Play.
According to his close associates, the late Wanjau will be buried in his rural home in Machakos on Friday, December 5.
