“You’ll Know Me!” – Nairobi County Official Verbally Threatened By Foreigners In A Heated Dispute Over Loud Music
On Sunday, September 8, Nairobi County’s Environment Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria stormed a party in Kilimani, demanding that noise pollution be reduced.
A video clip that went viral on social media platforms showed the chief environmental officer getting into a heated argument with partygoers who refused to turn off the music.
Mosiria stormed the party, which was mostly attended by Nigerians, and ordered the organisers to turn down the volume after neighbours in the Kilimani area complained about the loud music.
The chief officer was willing to let the revelers keep partying as long as there was no noise from the music.

However, this did not sit well with some of the attendees at the venue.
“People are sleeping, please. Moving forward, no music will be played here. You can continue partying, but no music,” Mosiria can be heard saying in the video.
One of the revelers, visibly upset that their party had been disrupted, got into a verbal altercation with Mosiria after the latter threatened to call the authorities to shut down the party.
“You will know (who I am). In two minutes you will know,” the man, presumably of Nigerian descent, could be heard saying.
Mosiria has gained traction on social media in recent weeks, with his latest attempt to restore sanity in Nairobi coming just weeks after exposing the city’s rotting street food industry.

On August 15, he went viral for exposing a shockingly unsanitary hotel near the bus station in the Central Business District (CBD).
He discovered a worrying trend among food kiosk vendors to store their equipment in public restrooms, posing a serious health risk to their customers.
Furthermore, the hotel, which served kebabs and boiled eggs among other foods, was found to be filthy.
The hotel has since closed down.
