Oscar Sudi Goes Head-On Against Morara Kebaso For Criticising Kasmuel

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has criticised activist and civic educator Morara Kebaso for deceiving the younger generation.

Sudi took to social media to criticize Morara’s criticism of fellow activist Kasmuel M’Coure for meeting President William Ruto on Sunday, accusing him of allegedly defrauding Kenyans of their hard-earned money.

“Morara Kebaso, STOP misleading our children the GEN-Zs for your own selfish gains. Creating havoc and panic in the country instead of constructive criticism. We know you’ve been fleecing  Kenyans and their hard-earned cash in the name of Activism,” Sudi wrote.

“We see through your charade—you are a mouthpiece for your paymaster and a willing pawn in his divisive agenda. FAKE ACTIVIST!”

On Sunday, December 22, photos of Kasmuel with Sudi and President William Ruto in Uasin Gishu surfaced online, prompting many Kenyans to escalate allegations of treason against Kasmuel.

Among them was fellow activist Morara Kebaso, who wrote: “Oh my God. Kasmuel, why? Whhhhyyyy? Aren’t these the same people who killed Gen Zs in cold blood and benefited from it? Why? Is it money? You should have started a business.”

“Kasmuel McOure, you have hurt Kenyans who believed in you in a way that you will never, ever imagine.”

Unconcerned by Sudi’s remark, Morara lashed back, stating that he had refused to be ‘purchased’ by the President and that his mission was being supported by Kenyans who believed in his cause.

He further accused the MP of squandering public monies, stating he had no recognized sources of income.

Although Kasmuel and Morara began on similar paths as new-age activists, they both faced growing hostility from fellow activists who labeled them opportunists.

Morara’s critics have cited his repeated requests for money contributions from his followers to purchase products for his civic education excursions across the country.

Kasmuel, on the other hand, received substantial opposition after officially joining the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

The anti-finance bill demonstrations that propelled Kasmuel to prominence had rapidly transformed into anti-government protests, thus joining Raila’s faction, which had recently won seats in Ruto’s cabinet, felt like a betrayal to many Kenyans.
