CS Moses Kuria Finally Discusses His Resignation Rumors

Moses Kuria, the Public Service Cabinet Secretary, denied on Friday that he was preparing to resign from his current position in government.

In a statement, the outspoken CS referred to the article citing his impending retirement as fake news from a bogus X account.

While providing clarification on the subject, CS Kuria asked Kenyans not to believe such rumors and instead report accounts promoting misinformation.

“It has come to my attention that a fake X account has been spreading incorrect information and opinions falsely attributed to me. Please be aware that this account is not mine,” CS Kuria clarified.

“Report the fake account, unfollow, and block the fake account. Thank you for your support and vigilance! Let’s put an end to misinformation together,” he added.

The bogus tweet claimed that the CS threatened to resign from his government position, stating that President William Ruto had abandoned Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua

According to the flagged tweet, President Ruto had abandoned the DP and began engaging with MPs affiliated with the opposition parties.

“The reason Ruto is fighting our son Rigathi Gachagua is that the opposition is dining with the government,” the flagged post read.

“I will resign from being the Cabinet Secretary and start protecting my big brother Rigathi Gachagua, who is championing the unity of our region.”

The false tweet claimed that CS Kuria would run for Gatundu South Member of Parliament in the 2027 General Election.

The charges come amid a burgeoning Mt Kenya political supremacy war, which has allegedly caused politicians to take sides in the dispute.

It comes just a week after the CS missed the Mt Kenya leaders’ caucus meeting known as Limuru 3, which was attended by key Mt Kenya area MPs.
