11-Year-Old Poet Who Impressed At Church Service Set To Be Sponsored By Rigathi Gachagua
Princess Angel, 11, may be on her way to fulfilling her dream of becoming a lawyer now that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has offered to sponsor her education.
In a brief statement on his social media pages, the second-in-command praised Princess Angel’s exceptional poetry skills in both English and Kiswahili.
During the Akurinu National Prayers Conference in Nakuru, Gachagua was moved by the girl’s profound mastery of both languages as well as her sweet, soothing, refined rendition skills.
The girl’s impressive display of linguistic prowess prompted the Deputy President and Second Lady, Dorcas Rigathi, to invite Angel to Gachagua’s home in Karen, Nairobi.
“I was delighted this morning, with my Spouse Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, hosting the pretty Princess and her mother Ann Kariuki for breakfast at the Official Residence in Karen, Nairobi,” the Deputy President noted.

“We have identified the talent; we want to propel her to full potential,” Gachagua added.
Following the invitation, DP Gachagua and pastor Dorcas promised to sponsor Princess Angel’s education up to the tertiary level.
Princess Angel will also attend the Utawala Academy in Nairobi, where she will be able to shape and improve her skills.
“I will take care of her education needs until she becomes the heavyweight Lawyer she desires to be,” Gachagua stated.
Gachagua was spotted chatting with Princess Angel as the two strolled through the DP compound with the 11-year-old’s mother.
It is not the first time the Deputy President has demonstrated his philanthropic nature; just a month ago, Gachagua offered to sponsor ten Pwani University students.
Gachagua pledged during a visit to the university, where he spoke with students.
“I will pay the school fees for 10 students who are very needy as a way of remembrance of my visit,” stated the Deputy President.
