CITY MORTUARY: Morgue Officials Say Disposed Bodies From Kware Not Yet Claimed
A representative from City Mortuary stated that no family has come forward to claim any of the several dozen disfigured bodies of young women that were dumped in the Kware slum in Mukuru.
“We have not seen anyone come to claim any of the remains, we are shocked,” the official, sought anonymity told the Star, said.
The official said that because the bodies were in pieces, they were unsure of how many they had received.
“We cannot tell the number of bodies we have received as they are in parts. It is until DNA is done that the number can be established,” the official said.

Autopsies are now being used by authorities to explain the startling findings that have stunned the country.
An autopsy is a post-mortem examination of a body to identify the cause of death or the type and degree of changes caused by illness.
According to the official, the final body was received on Saturday at approximately 6:00 p.m.
He stated that DNA tests will be conducted on Monday or Tuesday to determine the identities of the victims.
DNA is a molecule that contains genetic information necessary for an organism’s development and function.
The official stated that they do not know what is going on other than receiving bodies for preservation.
“I do not have any information I can share about the incident. My only job is to receive and preserve,” he said, referring us to the police.
According to reports, at least eight bodies were retrieved.
Some of the recovered bodies were initially thought to be human but were later discovered to be dog carcasses.
On Saturday, President William Ruto directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to expedite the investigation into the deaths of Kenyans discovered in a quarry in Mukuru, Nairobi.
The President assured that those behind mysterious killings in Nairobi would be held accountable.
Ruto stated that the government does not condone extrajudicial killings.
“All those involved in this heinous act of killing young Kenyans will face the full force of the law,” he said.
The President stated that the killings violated the Constitution and the human rights of any country.
