Embattled Former Rift Valley MP Loses Billions as 9 Properties Sold At Auction
Mishra Swarup, a former Kesses Member of Parliament, broke his silence on Sunday following a slew of auctions involving his properties.
In a series of tweets, the former lawmaker expressed his sadness at seeing 20 years of his sweat up for auction.
He shared a strip of auctions from one of the local dailies, which listed nine properties in total, seven of which were land parcels.

“After 2 years of living on my knees under constant threat and losing millions to systemic blackmail; I wake up to find everything I’ve worked for for over 20 years is being auctioned.
“Where are we headed as Kenyans? Am I the only political target? No. We are many,” he lamented.
The listed properties include parcels of land in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, including one that houses Mediheal Hospital and a residential plot.
According to Eshikhoni Auctioneers, who were chosen to lead the exercise, the auction process will take place on July 22, 2024.
Another parcel registered in the name of Mediheal Hospital and Fertility Center Limited along Iten-Kerio Valley Road will be auctioned off on July 23.
Another parcel containing the Mediheal Hospital in Kisii Town will be auctioned on July 24.
In a separate tweet, the former MP stated that the loss was the result of a political witchhunt involving several other politicians.
“Time will come when I will talk. No stones shall be left unturned… They have already taken everything… I am ready for anything. Kenya is our country,” he stated.
“My voice is unrelated to the Gen Z movement, but my heart bleeds for the thousands of Gen Z who lost jobs due to the closure of hundreds of businesses attributed to political witch-hunt and revenge. We can be quiet but not for long,” he added separately.
