CS Mutua Announces 10,000 New Job Opportunities In Dubai
Alfred Mutua, the Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary, has announced the creation of almost 10,000 new employment vacancies in Dubai’s construction industry.
The positions are part of the government’s active drive to provide work possibilities for Kenyans abroad.
Mutua wrote on his X account that the UAE’s construction business is looking for both skilled and untrained Kenyans to join its workforce.
According to the CS, open positions include steel fixers, masons, scaffolders, carpenters, waterproofing technicians, and general laborers.

The CS, who is leading the government’s effort to provide job possibilities for Kenyans abroad, also inaugurated recruitment centers.
Recruitment officers will be at Kabete National Polytechnic from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting this week.
The recruitment team will set up a tent at Nyeri National Polytechnic on Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The crew will recruit Kenyans by camping at the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic on Monday and Tuesday next week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Mutua stated that successful recruiters will receive offer letters on the spot.
“After a three-day medical and processing period, successful applicants will be issued visas,” Mutua said.
Travel plans will be completed within a few days of visa issuance, he said.
Mutua stated that in order to make this opportunity accessible, he negotiated lower and more affordable pricing.
“Successful candidates will cater for their tickets, medical, and minor processing fees,” he said.
Those interested in the opportunity should bring their diplomas and other applicable paperwork, as well as proper clothes for practical examinations.
“No passport? No problem! Expedited passport issuance will be facilitated for successful candidates,” Mutua said.

According to Mutua, incomes range from Sh33,000 to Sh60,000, which will be tax-free. There will be free lodging, transportation, meals, and medical care.
