Ugandan Man Who Defiled 13-Year-Old Girl In Kiambu Imprisoned For 10 Years
A 24-year-old Ugandan man has been condemned to ten years in prison after defiling a 13-year-old girl in Kiambu County two years ago.
A Kiambu court found Derrick Kitima guilty, noting that he committed the offense on August 12, 2023.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) called five witnesses to testify against the accused, establishing its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
“Senior Principal Magistrate Hon. M.A. Opondo noted that the minor was affected psychologically and her performance in school had dropped and directed that the minor be taken to specialists for treatment and counseling,” stated the ODPP in a statement on Friday.

This comes just a month after a 20-year-old Ugandan woman was arrested and held at the Juja Police Station in connection with the death of her 23-year-old Kenyan lover, Peter Macharia.
Cynthia Nakato, a lady, allegedly stabbed her partner seven times in Juja’s Mastore district.
Juja Police Commander Jackson Sang confirmed the event, saying Macharia’s body was discovered on Monday, January 20.
“I want to confirm that the young man by the name Peter Macharia was stabbed severally by a lady friend,” Sang told TV47.

“What caused this type of commotion is not exactly identified but the investigations into the matter is underway.”
According to reports, Nakato, a bartender, stabbed Macharia multiple times in the right arm, killing him.
Macharia’s body was sent to Thika General Kago Mortuary for preservation, while a postmortem was conducted to identify the exact cause of death.
Police have urged couples to consider alternative ways to resolve their problems rather than resorting to violence.
