‘He Loved Church, Music!’ – MP Elachi Pays Touching Tribute To Son
Dagoretti MP Beatrice Elachi recalled her late son Elvis Murakana Namenya as an avid churchgoer, musician, and football fan.
Elachi, who delivered Elvis’ eulogy at the memorial ceremony at Holy Trinity Church in Kileleshwa, described him as a shy child who enjoyed football and music.
“One thing I will tell you, he loved this church. And even when I come to church, if you ask the people of Holy Trinity I’ve never come as Mheshimiwa,” she added.
Elachi prayed that God would have mercy and favour on Elvis’ soul, allowing him to see heaven.

She stated that in their household, their Christian life comes first, with the term and instruction “pray” used frequently.
“Prayer sustains. My spiritual mum will tell you before you walk out the door remember to pray and tell God to open doors for you and to bring you back safe,” she said.
She praised Elvis’s friends and prayed that God would provide them with their aspirations, needs, and opportunities.

“You are going to graduate all of you and in that graduation may Angels open doors for you as you look as you do good work,” she said.
“I just want to say thank you very much because you prayed for Elvis.”
Elvis died while undergoing treatment at the AAR Intensive Care Unit after being involved in a car accident.
He is claimed to have left home to run errands in Kasarani on Tuesday, March 18, when the tragedy occurred.
Tragically, while driving back, his automobile had a tyre break on Thika Road, leading it to veer off and hit the guardrails.
