Ruto Challenges The Opposition To Do His Work
President William Ruto has urged opposition leaders to provide a better plan for resolving the youth’s concerns rather than encouraging unrest.
The Head of State, who spoke on Thursday afternoon while visiting Nairobi United Football Club players, urged the opposition to go beyond hyperbole and toward practical answers.
“I want my plan of creating employment opportunities for our young people to be tested against that of my competitors,” the President stated.
He emphasized that young people were the nation’s greatest asset.

Ruto also stated that his administration would do everything necessary to support the younger generation, regardless of the current circumstances.
During his speech, President Ruto accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and other opposition leaders of hollow sloganeering.
He stated that the former DP and his staff were less serious about addressing the nation’s challenges.
While commenting on the recent protests, Ruto stated that the Constitution requires him to defend the lives and property of all Kenyans, which he pledged to carry out without fear or favour.
“For now, I am the protector of the Constitution, and I will make sure that it is obeyed to the letter,” he reiterated.
During the State House ceremony, the Head of State decried attempts by people he alleged were hired goons to vandalize Talanta Stadium, which is now under construction.

At the same time, he stated that the government is implementing a variety of policies and projects to make Nairobi more livable for both inhabitants and visitors.
He went on to say that the cleanup of the filthy Nairobi River was well underway and expected to be completed within the next two years.
Furthermore, President Ruto announced that the national government will collaborate with the Nairobi County Government to collect waste and improve the city’s road network.
“Nairobi being the headquarters of the United Nations Environmental Programme means that we have to make Nairobi clean by all means,” the Head of State noted.
