CS Duale Threatens To Deport Mediheal’s Swarup Mishra Over Organ Trafficking
Dr. Swarup Mishra, the founder of Mediheal Group of Hospitals, has been threatened by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale that his citizenship may be revoked and he may be deported.
The facilities were later closed following the release of a government taskforce report on organ trafficking in the country.
Speaking at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) on Friday, CS Duale criticized Mishra for his hospital’s alleged role in the scam, as well as “developing a culture of impunity.”
He also warned the former Kesses Member of Parliament against issuing threats and considered revoking his Kenyan citizenship and deporting him to India.
“You cannot come to our country 20 years ago with a bag, you make money, you sell our organs, you become a Member of Parliament, you develop a culture of impunity, you hire lawyers and when you’re pursued you threaten us?!” Duale remarked.
“If it means us revoking that citizenship because your citizenship is not by birth, we will revoke the citizenship, we will close your hospital and deport you.”

Duale’s accusations come as Parliament prepares to accept a report by the Independent Investigative Committee on Tissue and Organ Transplant Services.
It calls for an immediate investigation and criminal charges against Mishra for suspected involvement in organ trafficking related to a kidney transplant scandal at the clinic.
In the devastating report delivered to CS Duale on July 22, the 13-member team revealed huge inconsistencies that pointed to an international organ harvesting syndicate.
The 314-page bombshell report revealed facts from a three-month task force investigation into an alleged international criminal kidney harvesting conspiracy.
The data, which included 452 donors and 447 recipients from various institutions, revealed that 417 files originated at Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret.
This included roughly 81% of all donors and 76% of all receivers.
The results show that between 2018 and March 2025, Mediheal Hospital handled 417 donors and 340 recipients, with male patients accounting for three out of every four cases.

According to the residence status statistics, 44% of grantees are Kenyan residents, 16% are non-Kenyans, and 38.94% are unknown.
This suggests that there may be documentation gaps or a lack of identity documents in the patient’s record.
According to the research, Kenyan receivers accounted for half of the contributors, with people from undocumented nationalities, Israel, and Uganda comprising the lion’s share.
Concerningly, there were numerous unknown donor nationalities, with 60 people refusing to declare their country of origin, apparently to mask their traces.
